I grew up at the base of Blacktail Rocks in Eagle River, Alaska, where the frigid river, the alpenglow mountains, and the nourishing wildness shaped the way I see the world.

Nature reflecting me, me reflecting nature — this is the soil of my poetry and paintings. I try to capture the beauty and textures of being alive. A piece is finished when light and a moment are suspended, held in between the lines of a poem or emanate from within a watercolor. Some pieces come in a flash, some take years.

I live and create in Eagle River, Alaska.
